When You Get Sick Of Me Check This Out

Or late, great, and breaking news!!      SHOWS!!!

09/14/05 - I've noticed that a lot of these updates seem to start off with "it's been awhile since I've updated" so I'll just let you assume the obvious. I am getting ready to move to Seattle at the end of the month so there will be a farewell show on Saturday September 17th at 8pm at College Coffee House. You guys should all come and hear a new song or two before I head off to become famous. Hope to see you there. ALSO while I am gone  I plan on finishing my ep and having it for you guys to buy at Christmas.

04/07/05 - So it's been awhile since I've updated, but I have good news! I am heading down to Seattle to record with Austin Sousa next week. By the end of it I should have a 4 or 5 song EP that you guys can buy to have for your very own. I'll keep you updated on my progress and I hope to make some rough cuts available on the site soon!

08/03/04 - I'm back bitch! Well not yet, I'm still kicking it in Albany, NY, but get ready for my return on September 3rd at College Coffee House. So far I only know that Matt Hopper is also playing but I'll keep you updated. Be prepared for some new songs, interesting cover choices, and all your old favorites, plus some old songs that never got played. It will rock. Even though I'm going to be completely cracked out from jet-lag. Ah, such is the life of a rockstar.

12/22/03 - So if you missed the show on the 20th at College Coffee you should be ashamed of yourselves. Cause it was rockin'.  Issac wowed us all with his preformance as DJ Strangecharm (especially "The Soviet Union".  Man, I love that song). Chris Curry was a badass as usual, taking a break from the band scene to play some lovely acoustic guitar. The Muldoonies made a brilliant debut preformance (Molly is a genius!). I played pretty well, (people were singing along!!) considering that I was kinda screaming sometimes (I've lost my voice sort of), but I did make Mallory cry.  Kelsa was awesome as always (glad to hear them again, the spring Battle was a long time ago). FPOW played an awesome reunion set (look for them on the 31st at the Underground), that had people dancing and singing along. And finally Matt Hopper played a great acoustic set, showing off some new songs and treating the crowd to some old favorites. All in all it was a great night.

12/11/03 - Yay!! A real show! On December 20th the College Coffee is going to get is socks rocked off. Or maybe strummed off.  DJ Strangecharm is going to do his far out techno-y thing. Me, Chris Curry, Billy Gilbert, and Matt Hopper are going to be busting it out acoustic style. The cool kids of FPOW are going to skank it up, followed by Ska band in training, The Muldoonies. Kelsa is also going to grace us with their awesome musical stylings.  More info on the right. Be there. Or be square.

10/23/03 - Sooo....I am the biggest slacker ever. I technically suck at keeping this updated. Hmm...what have I been up to? On Labor Day I played at Alaskaland (which was kind of a bust cause it was raining the whole time) and I've played at all the Open Mic's at College Coffee for the last few months. So really, thats about it. I'm getting ready to get out of here acutally, I'm moving to Albany, New York with some fine folks of FPOW fame, in January, so that should be fun. I'd really like to play and actual show here before I leave, so maybe I'll try to set that up before Christmas. We'll see.

7/10/03 - I spent a loverly weekend in Girdwood at the Forest Fair, and caught some cool bands. Like The Matt Lewis Band. They were tight. Yesterday I played AIP which was great fun. I messed up lots and even started laughing mid-song, but it was still pretty cool. Expect that up on the site someday. Man I really want to play a show. There needs to be some sad little sappy acoustic show. It'd be fun. Anyone who's interested should e-mail me at kieka_23@hotmail.com.

6/26/03 - Ahhhhhaaaaa!! I saw The Roman Candles Solstice Weekend! Where were you poseur? Not at the show. Fools.

3/8/03 - So I finally played a real show. On Tuesday, March 4th I opened for the awesome Issac Paris at College Coffee. Well technically I played about 6 songs when Issac got bored. It was a decent set, I was a bit nervous for the first song or two, but after I settled in a bit, things went really well. I played (in no particular order, because I can't remember the set list at all...) Rainy City, Tonight, Atlantis, Cadillac Man, and two covers, Ben (I'm really hot and talented) Harper's "Walk Away", and Bic Runga's "Sway". It was, all in all, a good night and a good time was had by all.

2/18/03 - The concert to Speak/Sing Out For Peace was this weekend at The College Coffee House. It was an awesome show with some fun suprises. I saw Jazz Farm for the first time and was totally impressed. Sarah Hansen played a great set, as always. The open mic was fun, I played "Walk Away", a GREAT Ben Harper song and it seemed to go over well. I also played guitar for my bud Leah as she belted out "Fuck and Run" (A Liz Phair tune). I got a bit nostolgic for Codename:Cleveland. FPOW played a great acoustic set with a special(and very appropriate) cover of Dispatch's "The General". Left Hand Wrath was extremely impressive with an acoustic set that really showcased just how talented they are. I hope they chose to play acoustic more often. There was another little open mic, I was coerced into playing "Atlantis" and an "encore", so I wipped out"Waiting On An Angel".  Ben Harper was good to me that night, and people seemed to like "Atlantis". Yay.

2/5/03 - Sorry, I've gone ages without updating this, so its gonna be a long one. Okay. Begining of January I caught part of a Roman Candles show in Anchorage with Emily and a few friends. The Fearless Pirates of Willygoat played a mean set at the West Valley Senior Ball on the 25th and played another great show up at UAF  on the 31st. So remember that acoustic show I've been talking about but still haven't done? Well we have yet another date, and it looks like its set. The 22nd of February will be blessed with a show featuring me, Billy Gilbert and possibly Emily Sousa of FPOW fame, and one of Billy's friends Chris Curry (who I haven't heard, but Billy swears he good) at Gulliver's book store. I'll keep you posted on that one. I've put up some new stff lately, a revamped version of "Atlantis" with a bridge and a cute "la da da" section pretty much ripped from "Your Body Is A Wonderland". Oh well. I put up one verse to "A Million Ways" and I should put up the new verse I have soon....and I've got a brand new song "Cadillac Man" posted, COMPLETED. I've been a busy little girl.

12/25/02 - Merry Christmas!! Okay so the triple-bill show with me, Billy, and Emily looks like it might be going down the first week of January. But I don't know, no one tells me anything. The Roman Candles show was great! It was awesome seeing the new line-up and all that. Can't wait until they come back up. Oh, and I have a new song up, "A Million Ways". Its only  part of it, but I just thought I'd put it up and see what people think. Let me know.

11/27/02-Hey  it sounds like I may acutally be playing somewhere (finally!) its looking like a triple-bill with me, Billy Gilbert, and Emily Sousa (both of FPOW fame) playing sappy acoustic stuff on the 19th of December or so. Should be loads of fun. I will definitely have more info for you guys as it becomes available to me. And yet another FPOW show is in the works for the 20th (I think) with The Roman Candles and a couple other bands...but like I say check out FPOW's website for more info.

11/26/02-HOLY Hanukah!!Damn kiddies! Its time for a FPOW concert this Friday! Check out their website (go to my links page) for more info!!

10/31/02-Happy Halloween! So last night show kicked! FPOW played a sweet set, opening with the theme to "Ghostbusters! A good time was had by all. Something to look forward to, there is going to be a mini-concert sometime late December with me, Emily and Billy (both from FPOW) doing a little acoustic solo stuff. I'll be sure to let you know when I've got the dates.

10/30/02-Hey! In case you somehow missed it, there is a concert tonight at the Carlson Center, featuring the cool cats FPOW!!

10/21/02-Some of you clearly have nothing better to do than sign my message board obsessively. But there is now new fun in the form of a web-poll on The Goods. Check it out. Vote!

10/20/02-Hey kiddies! Get ready to rock at the Halloween concert on Oct.31 with cool kids like my homies FPOW, Dumbnation, and......some other bands.

10/10/02- NEW SONG! "Atlantis" is up! Its only the first part, but its something!!

10/09/02- This just in! Billy Gilbert (lead singer of FPOW!) Is a sweetie!

10/05/02- Busy going into hysterics listening to the "special" rainy city. Oh god its SO annoying but I love it! OOh new song up "Tonight" and lyrics too! Check it out in The Goods! So I didn't see Flogging Molly this weekend after all. :( Tragic. But I shall live. Not a whole lot else going on....but if anything new comes up I shall post it!

10/02/02-Okay so there's really nothing much to say here seeing as how the most exciting news I already put on the front page.......but let's think....oh there are a couple Flogging Molly concerts coming up this weeked. Friday (which I hear is sold out) at the Hess Rec Center at the UAF and Saturday night at the Blue Loon. I may go to the Saturday show. We shall see. Toodles.
